Four and Six Litres (2007)

Dieses ist mein erstes und bislang auch das einzige Bild, das nicht aus Stoff und gefärbtem Mull entstand. Es entstand im Auftrag der FEFCO, der Europäischen Föderation der Wellpappeerzeuger, weshalb ich mich zum ersten Mal intensiv mit dem Material auseinander gesetzt habe. Es zeigt genau so Spuren seiner früheren Verwendung, die ich gestaltend in meine Arbeit integrieren kann, auch bin ich von den vielfältigen Möglichkeiten, die Wellpappe bietet, seither begeistert.
Das Material wurde mit Kleber auf einer Holztafel angebracht, und statt mit dem Nähen auch Linien und Verbindungen darzustellen, habe ich mit Ölkreide und Filzstiften gearbeitet.
Das Bild wurde bei der Tagung 2007 der FEFCO in Athen im Museum Vorres ausgestellt und anschliessend zu Gunsten der Opfer der griechischen Brandkatastrophe 2007 versteigert.

This is my first and up to now only picture that isn‘t made out of textiles and dyed mull. It was done on order from FEFCO, the European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers, and it was the first time I worked with this material. It also shows traces of its original use that I can integrate in my own work, and I have been fascinated ever since by the multiple possibilities that corrugated board can offer.
The cardboard was applied with adhesives to a wooden board, and because I couldn‘t sow my lines into the picture, I used oil crayons and felt pen instead to draw my lines.
The picture went on exhibition at the Vorres Museum in Athens at the FEFCO Meeting 2007 in Athens, after which it went on auction to the benefit of the victims of the 2007 fires in Greece.
